摘要
The electronic excitation density of states of Rb0.3MoO3 in the Peierls type charge density wave state has been measured at a specified point of the surface image taken by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The Peierls gap 2DELTA is roughly estimated to be 140meV, which is significantly larger than the value expected from the BCS theory even after the fluctuation effect is taken into account. The lattice image of Mo8O23 is also taken at the temperature T approximately 280K.
