Gas dynamics of hihgly heated, ionized turbulent argon jet have been found to be self-preserving in coordinates suggested by rudimentary similarly analysis; turbulent front amplitude of this flow shows randomness expected of free turbulent flows, and its mean position bears same relation to flow '%'half-width'%' as in low- speed jets; intermittency factor and resultant mean front position and its standard deviation measured with temperature-sensitive probe are same as with electron-sensitive probe; front wavelength appears to be related to jet scale as wake front wavelengths are related to wake scale.
