摘要：

The paper gives a review of five aspects considered to be essential for an integrated approach to the seagrass ecosystem. It is stressed that the usual approach, which only considers structure and function, is too static and incomplete, and that the aspects of dynamics, history and classification have also to be included. These aspects are briefly discussed, and some examples are given to show their significance. © 1979.
