摘要
The electrochemical results of the potentiodynamic, galvanostatic and potentiostatic oxidation of niobium in Na2CO3 solutions are presented. The influence of electrolyte concentration and temperature are analysed. The presence of a film, which cannot be electrochemically reduced, formed during the polishing procedure, previously reported in the literature, was detected electrochemically using an electrode mechanically polished under cathodic polarization inside the solution. The charge density due to this pre-film is in good agreement with data in the literature.
