EXTRAPOLATION OF LIGHT-SCATTERING DATA TO ZERO SCATTERING ANGLE

摘要
Problems inherent in the extrapolation of light-scattering data towards zero scattering angle are discussed. The light scattering by solutions of monodisperse samples of poly-α-methylstyrene was measured down to scattering angle φ{symbol} = 11°. The angular dependence was subjected to a nonlinear regression analysis. This yielded well-defined values for the radius of gyration and information about differences between actually measured angular dependence and that predicted for random coils. © 1968.
