摘要
Microwave tubes are considered as an additional plasma heating source for fusion reactors. The high vacuum of the microwave tube has to be protected by a ceramic window. In this report formulae are developed for the calculation of temperatures and thermal stresses resulting from dielectric losses of such a disc-shaped HF-window. The relations developed can be used in parameter studies. In the experimental part the two candidate materials Al2O3 and AlN are compared and the superiority of the AlN becomes evident. © 1990.
