摘要
As part of a systematic exploration of Ni-Se interactions and elucidation of the role of Se in [Fe-NiSe] hydrogenases, four Ni(II) complexes with Se- and N-donor ligands have been synthesized and structurally characterized for the first time. The complexes contain the [NiN(x)Se(y)] chromophore in distorted tetrahedral and trigonal bipyramidal geometries. Initial studies indicate that these complexes are more reactive compared to their analogues containing the [NiN(x)S(y)] chromophore.
