摘要
Extrapolating from the evidence of dual levels of processing in the visual system, in an earlier article Keverne asked whether other sensory systems were also processed by dual systems8 As yet, there is little evidence that there is dual processing for auditory and gustatory systems. However, evidence has been steadily accumulating that dual olfactory sensory processing occurs in lower species. In this article, the evidence for dual olfactory systems in higher primates is presented. © 1979.
