摘要
This paper presents a new method for a finite element computation of the losses in a three phase power cable. The phase conductors carry sinusoidal, steady-state and balanced currents and the sheath is made of a nonlinear ferromagnetic material. A new concept for an effective equivalent magnetic permeability is introduced that allows calculations in the complex domain. As an example, sheath losses are presented and discussed for a symmetrical configuration.
