摘要
It is now established on several materials, including gold colloids, silica, metallica smokes, and aluminum hydroxy polymers that aggregates are as often mass fractals as surface fractals, according to the relative importance of transport and chemical processes in their synthesis. The purpose of this paper is to show that industrial aggregates of conducting carbon black can indeed be mass fractals, i. e. , that their mass, M, scales with their size, R. It is shown that mass fractal dimension, D//m, is a relevant parameter to predict the performance of the black as battery material, at least within a homogeneous set of products.
