摘要
Quantum oscillations in both the acoustic attenuation and the velocity have been observed in aluminum and copper. The amplitudes of the velocity oscillations are in good agreement with the free-electron theory derived by Rodriguez. The amplitudes of the oscillations in the attenuation, while much smaller than the velocity oscillations, are over three orders of magnitude larger than theoretically predicted. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
