摘要
The alkali-stable fraction of chondromucoprotein incorporates both [35S]sulfate and [14C]glucose more rapidly than does the serine-linked moiety. Fractionation studies suggest that any under-sulfated material is concentrated in the alkali-stable fraction. Hydrazinolysis of this material results in a polysaccharide fraction containing glutamic acid as the major residual amino acid suggesting a linkage of the polysaccharide chain other than to serine. © 1969.
