INVITRO EPOXIDATION OF ALL-TRANS-RETINOIC ACID IN RAT-TISSUE HOMOGENATES

摘要
Rat tissue homogenates catalyze the epoxidation of all-trans-retinoic acid to 5,6-epoxyretinoic acid. Kidney, intestine, and liver are the most active of the tissues examined. Spleen, testes, and brain have some activity, but muscle and lung have little or no activity. Boiled homogenates do not catalyze the reaction. N-propyl gallate inhibits the reaction. The product has been chemically and physically identified as 5,6-epoxyretinoic acid. © 1979.
