摘要
Nodular cast iron is well known to be more susceptible to scuffing and seizing than is ordinary gray cast iron. This results largely from the spherical shape of the graphite nodules in its structure which causes relatively large metallic particles to be produced even under mild wear conditions. Furthermore, the graphite in the nodular iron structure produces only a thin and inadequate surface coating. © 1969.
