摘要
The authors report results of investigations on 90W-7Ni-3Fe heavy alloy cold swaged up to 50% reduction in area and annealed at 700 degree C for different periods. Mechanical properties like hardness, ultimate tensile and yield strengths and ductility correlate for the as-received alloy (0% deformation). In the case of cold swaged samples, the strength and ductility levels increase with the extent of cold working at any set annealing period. However, unlike the as-received alloy, the strength increases with the annealing period while the reverse is true for hardness.
