We have calculated the effect of particle-vibration coupling on the single particle states in Be-10, C-12 and C-14 cores. This coupling is very strong in Be-10 nucleus and responsible for the inversion of the sequence of 1/2(-), 1/2(+) states in the one neutron halo Be-11 nucleus as known from experiments. In C-12 and C-14 it is a weaker effect so that the ground state of C-13 is an 1/2(-) state as expected from a single particle model and as known experimentally. The energy spectra of Be-11, C-13 and C-15 are qualitatively well reproduced.
