摘要
An x-ray structural study of 1-oxo-4-isopropyl- and 1-thio-4-propyl-2,6,7-trioxa-1-phosphabicyclo[2.2.2]octanes (I and II) was completed. Both structures (space group Pnma (I) and P2(1)/m (II)) were refined by anisotropic full matrix least squares with secondary extinction adjustment to R = 0.054 (I) and 0.046 (II) (autodiffractometer, lambda-Mo K(alpha), 789 (I) and 904 (II) observed reflections with I greater-than-or-equal-to 2-sigma(I)). Molecules I and II are situated on crystallographic mirror planes. The propyl substituent in molecule II is statistically disordered relative to the mirror plane. Both molecules have geometrically identical bicyclic P(OCH2)3C frameworks with symmetries near C3V.
