摘要
Following a proper thermal treatment of Ba2NaNb5O15 in the incommensurate phase, the 1q/2q phase transition could be clearly observed by the difference of the interference color under the polarizing microscope. The different nature of the transition between cooling and heating processes coincided well with the previous X-ray work. The memory effect was also observed in the measurement of the birefringence.
