摘要
In a 1:3 cation/llgand complex the ionophore N,N,N prime ,N prime -tetracyclohexyl-3-oxapentanediamide forms an almost ideal coordination sphere of nine oxygen atoms for the uptake of Ca**2** plus . By use of this ionophore and current membrane technology, solvent polymeric membranes with extremely high Ca**2** plus selectivities are obtained. Na** plus and K** plus are rejected by a factor of 10**7**. **4 and 10**8, respectively, and the detection limit of the Ca**2 plus electrode response function in an intracellular ion background is at about 100 pM Ca**2** plus .
