摘要
Populations of Enteromorpha intestinalis have been sampled and their growth and survival over a range of salinities, 0‰ to 136‰, have been determined. Responses of individual populations were found to vary, according to the conditions of the original habitats. Plants have been cultured from swarmers under controlled laboratory conditions. The patterns of euryhalinity in parental material and offspring are in broad agreement, suggesting that the increased tolerances of selected populations have a genetic basis. © 1979.
