PRASEODYMIUM-GALLIUM SYSTEM FROM 0 TO 50 AT-PERCENT-GALLIUM

摘要
The praseodymium-gallium system from 0 to 50 at.% Ga has been reexamined by means of differential thermal, roentgenographic and micrographic analysis. In the range of composition investigated three intermetallic compounds exist, Pr2Ga, Pr5Ga3 and PrGa, and their crystal structures have been determined. All three form peritectically at 705 °C, 855 °C and 1015 °C, respectively. A eutectic point occurs at about 18.5 at.% Ga (580 °C). A small solid solubility of Ga in Pr has been observed. © 1979.
