摘要
The unusual features of the emission from nickel‐doped zinc oxide are interpreted in terms of a model in which an excited transition metal ion transfers part of its energy of excitation to electrons residing in traps. This model is similar to the one developed to account for infra‐red stimulation data [1]. An important feature of the present results is that they indicate that the excitation energy of the activator can be transferred over several lattice sites to electrons residing in traps.
