摘要
Tunneling spectroscopy was used for an investigation of the energy spectrum of carriers in very thin platinum films. The tunnel conductance dI dU and its derivative d2I dU2 show an oscillatory behaviour with varying tunnel voltage which indicates the splitting of the energy spectrum into subbands. The observed thickness and temperature dependences agree with theoretical predictions. © 1979.
