OPTICAL-PROPERTIES OF FLUOROZIRCONATE GLASSES ACTIVATED WITH RARE-EARTH ELEMENTS

摘要
The paper presents the results of investigations of light absorption and emission by fluorozirconate glasses activated with the following rare earth elements: holmium, europium, dysprosium, neodymium, erbium and ytterbium. The absorption spectra were measured within the range 0.2-10-mu-m, while the luminescence induction spectra and luminescence spectra were measured within the range 0.2-0.8-mu-m. On the basis of the absorption and luminescence spectra the particular bands have been assigned to the rare earth elements.
