DETERMINATION OF SULFIDE BY EVOLUTION OF HYDROGEN-SULFIDE AND ABSORPTION SPECTROMETRY IN THE GAS-PHASE

摘要
The described method for the determination of sulfide in aqueous solution involves injection of the sample into acid and measurement of the transient absorption signal caused by evolved H2S at 200 nm. The flame of an atomic absorption spectrophotometer is replaced with a flow-through absorption cell. A convenient reaction vessel is used. The detection limit is 1.2 μg/mL S2-. The standard deviation of repeated runs is 3% under optimum conditions. The effects of several experimental conditions are reported. © 1979, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
