摘要
Most of the RM2X2 compounds can be described in tetragonal systems either in the ThCr2Si2 type or in the CaBe2Ge2 type. However, recent work has shown that, for large atoms such as M = Pt or Ir and X = Ge or Sn, structural distortions occur, leading to less symmetrical cells. Here, we report on CexLa1-xPt2Sn2 compounds (x = 1, 0.8 and 0) which exhibit monoclinic distortion and superlattice lines after annealing.
