摘要
In this paper an expert system with a new rule base is presented for post-fault restoration of a power distribution network. The proposed rules have been derived from the expertise and experience of the operations personnel of Dhaka Electric Supply Authority (DESA). In the proposed expert system, the operating constraints are checked through simple calculations instead of the involved and time-consuming load flow technique. Results are presented in this paper for two different cases of faults in the 11 kV metropolitan distribution network of DESA, to exemplify and illustrate the way the proposed expert system can be applied for any other practical network as large as or even larger in terms of the number of feeders, zones and interzone switches than the DESA system.
