摘要
This reports a systematic exploration of the ternary system As-Ag-Se. The first region extends from the good glass former, As//2Se//3, into the area around the eutectic at 90% As//2Se//3-10% As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) Ag//2Se. Near the latter compound no glasses form. The second region extends between the compositions As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) Ag//2Se and As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) 3Ag//2Se around the eutectic at 35% As//2Se//3. Again glass formation is restricted in the environment of the 1:3 compound. A third region extends into an area of remarkably high Ag content between the compositions As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) 3Ag//2Se and Ag//2Se. As Ag//2Se is approached, glasses are no longer formed. The optimum region in this field centers around two ternary eutectics:As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) 3Ag//2Se-As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) Ag//2Se-As and As//2Se//3 multiplied by (times) Ag//2Se-Se.
