摘要
Both the crossover method and the leading edge method are available for obtaining time marking signals for coincidence experiments. For solid state detectors the two methods are discussed. If it is necessary to avoid counting losses, which distort particle spectra, the leading edge method was found to work well for coincidence resolving times 2 τ ≥ 30 ns (fwhm = 3.4 ns), the crossover method, however, only for 2 τ ≥ 90 ns. This result is due to variations in the rise time of the detector pulses. © 1969.
