A PROBE FOR THE DETECTION OF METHICILLIN-RESISTANT STAPHYLOCOCCUS-AUREUS

摘要
An approximately 300 base pair DNA fragment for use as a probe was isolated from methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus DNA partially digested with Sau3AI. This probe hybridized with 25 methicillin-resistant clinical isolates of Staphylococcus aureus belonging to 18 different phage types, but not with 41 clinical isolates susceptible to methicillin. © 1990 Friedr.
