摘要
The two-component wedge-shaped backing offers a dramatic improvement over the commonly used rectangular backing in the attenuation of backing echoes, with no reduction in acoustic flexibility. Although the extent of the improvement cannot be easily predicted in all cases, it can be maximized experimentally and understood using a simple geometric argument.
