摘要：

Posterior echo enhancement is rightly considered a reliable sign of a cystic lesion. Three examples are given of solid metastatic deposits present within fatty livers which showed posterior echo enhancement. The reason for this finding is discussed and the importance of distinguishing such lesions from abscesses is emphasized. © 1990 The Royal College of Radiologists. All rights reserved.
