摘要
The viscosity of NaCl has been measured with an oscillating-cup viscometer in the temperature range from 1083 K to 1473 along the saturation line. The measured viscosity was lower than a currently recommended value by nearly 40%, whereas it was in accordance with other recent experimental results. To evaluate a meniscus effect of the liquid inside the cup on the viscosity, an experimental assessment was made. The results showed no appreciable viscosity change caused by changing the height of the liquid surface. The Stokes-Einstein equation was further examined for NaCl using the present results.
