摘要
Polyamines, particularly spermine, in physiological concentrations interact with mag-fura-2 and the mag-fura-2/Mg2+ complex, resulting in reduced values of free Mg2+ concentration. Similarly, polyamines interact with ATP and MgATP. Thus, free Mg2+ concentration, as measured by P-31-NMR or mag-fura-2, is underestimated in the presence of polyamines, particularly of spermine.
