摘要
A new nondestructive readout method was proposed for photochromic rewritable memory media. When the medium has a thermal threshold in the writing process with a lambda1 laser, reading using two lasers having emission lines at lambda1 and lambda2, which correspond to absorption bands of the two isomers, makes it possible to keep the signal intensity constant. Reading more than 10(6) times without destroying the memory was achieved by using photochromic diarylethene media.
