LOW-ENERGY ELECTRON DIFFRACTION FROM CRYSTAL SURFACES .2. A CLEAN SURFACE

摘要
The Wiener-Hopf technique is applied to the problem of calculating low-energy electron diffraction intensities from a clean crystal. For the case of s-wave scatterers the problem can be reduced to quadrature and a result found by Plaskett is obtained. In the general case a connection is shown between the present multiple scattering treatment and band-structure theory, and a generalization of Plaskett's result is found.
