摘要：

A technique for the subtraction of the contralateral contribution in [human] lateral-lung isotope imaging using a gamma camera and computer is described. The theory of the technique, the validity of the assumptions involved, the sources of error, and the corresponding error magnitudes are considered. Some preliminary results are presented and the implications discussed.
