SUPERCONDUCTING TRANSITION-TEMPERATURE AND CU SPIN MOMENTS OBSERVED BY THE NUCLEAR HEAT-CAPACITY IN LA2-XMXCUO4 (M=SR AND BA)

Magnitude SBAR of onsite Cu magnetic spin and temperature linear term gamma-T for La2-x(Sr,Ba)xCuO4 have been determined as a function of x by measuring the low temperature heat capacity below 1 K down to about 70 mK. At the insulator-superconductor boundary of both La-Sr and La-Ba systems, SBAR is about 0.4-mu-B that is about a half of the magnetic moment at x = 0. SBAR of La-Sr superconductor decreases with increasing x. The La-Ba system, however, shows a maximum of SBAR 0.25-mu-B and also shows a minimum of the electronic heat capacity at x approximately 0.12 where a conspicuous dip in T(c)-x phase diagram was observed.
