摘要
The reaction 209Bi(t, α)208Pb was investigated using the Aldermaston 13 MeV triton beam, and the reaction products were momentum analysed and detected in the multi-angle, magnetic spectrograph. A total of 21 α-particle groups was observed to 208Pb states below 5.7 MeV excitation energy. For the states below 4 MeV, the measured angular distributions were compared with DWBA predictions and relative spectroscopic factors were deduced. The data were compared with the results of RPA calculations for particle-hole states in 208Pb performed by Gillet et al. and by Kuo et al. The comprehensive calculations of Kuo et al. successfully reproduce the gross features of the experimental results as well as the essential details for the excited states below 4 MeV. © 1968.
