DETERMINATION OF SYMMETRIES OF PARAMAGNONS, WITH APPLICATIONS TO MNF2 AND NIF2

摘要
The symmetries of paramagnons can be determined by considering the transformation properties of the appropriate wave-like magnetic-excitation creation operators. With the known symmetries of the magnons below the Néel temperature of an antiferromagnet it is possible to determine, in many cases unambiguously, the symmetries of the paramagnons above the Néel temperature. The method is illustrated by determining the symmetries of paramagnons in MnF2 and NiF2.
