摘要
Bonding between silver and alumina has been achieved by solid state bonding. These materials are non reactive, their energy of adhesion is low and their coefficients of thermal expansion are very different. But nevertheless, we show that strong bonds can be obtained quickly providing that bonding is performed in air with cold rolled silver. The effect of the work hardening is explained by the increase of the number of dislocations which favour the plastic adhesion and the recrystallization of the metal during the bonding process, leading consequently to a rapid decrease of the interfacial energy.
