The mutual solubilities of two series of binary n-decane and trans-decalin with polar compound mixtures were studied. Polar compounds methanol, acetonitrile, 2-methoxyethanol, furfural, nitromethane, dimethylformamide and N-methylpyrrolidone were chosen, representing a wide variety of polarities and structures. The mutual solubilities of mixtures were determined from the ambient up to upper critical solution temperatures; experimental results were fitted using the modified Wegner equation. © 1990.
