RANDOM MIXTURE WITH COMPETING EXCHANGE ENERGIES AND COMPETING ANISOTROPY ENERGIES

摘要
A random quenched site model, in which both of exchange energies and anisotropy energies are competed, was considered by use of the molecular field approximation. This problem is easier than the Ising site model in which only exchange energies are competed. The phase diagram was obtained and a new phase was found in the intermediate region. This new phase is ferromagnetic along the one axis and antiferromagnetic along the other axis. It is pointed out that the present method cannot be applied to a bond model. © 1979, THE PHYSICAL SOCIETY OF JAPAN. All rights reserved.
