摘要
A small, opposing dipole (DD) magnetic spectrometer has been constructed and successfully employed for detection of positive pions with kinetic energies in the range from 2 to 12 MeV and for measurement of laboratory differential cross sections as small as one nb/sr in the (p, π+) reaction. The device is a non-dispersive, double-focusing instrument with 3.5 msr maximum solid angle and a large momentum acceptance. © 1979.
