ON THE MECHANISM OF THE SMOOTH INCREASE OF THE MEAN ION CHARGE IN AR PHOTOIONIZATION NEAR THE K-EDGE

摘要
It is demonstrated, that the Auger decay of the virtually created ls vacancy can explain semi-quantitatively the experimentally observed (by Doppelfeld et al. [J.Phys. B26 (1993) 445]) increase of the mean charge of the ions, produced in the photoionization of Ar close but below the 1 s threshold.
