摘要
Non-superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-x (x>0.4) becomes superconducting when heated in Cl2 at 450K. It is shown that this change is due to a partial decomposition reaction which gradually leads to an amorphous product and simultaneous oxidation of the unreacted grain interiors to YBa2Cu3O6.9. There is no evidence for an incorporation of Cl into the superconducting phase, as TC and lattice constants are accurately the same as for samples oxidised in O2. © 1990.
