摘要
The number of pulse circulations in a fiber ring employing an optical amplifier is often restricted by the degradation of the SNR due to ASE power of the amplifier. In this letter we report on nearly unlimited pulse circulation in a fiber ring experiment with use of a semiconductor laser amplifier in a loop mirror configuration (SLALOM) operating as threshold device.
