Direct observation of triplet state energy transfer from guest to host in mixed organic crystals

摘要
Temperature dependence of the delayed emission of phenanthrene-d(10) in benzaphenone was studied. The thermally activated transfer of triplet state energy from phenanthrene-d(10) guest to benzophenone host was directly demonstrated by the change of the delayed emission spectra and the analysis of intensity and decay of emission. The observations provide confirmatory support for the model of energy-transfer in mixed organic crystals previously proposed by Hirota and Hutchison.
