摘要
The effects of bonding, brazing and clamping of cemented carbide tips to lathe tools has been investigated with particular attention paid to temperatures developed in the tool during the cutting operation. A combination of temperature measurement combined with a finite element analysis of the heat flow has highlighted the low heat dissipation rate of bonded tools when compared with brazed and clamped tools.
