摘要
This article reports the results of a study conducted in five Western European countries of attitudes and expectations of representatives of 110 host-country organizations (HCOs) toward expatriate managers leading subsidiaries in those countries. Findings are classified by the HCOs’ positions regarding the following themes: preferred nationality, desired position in the MNC hierarchy, and present and expected personal behavior and interaction with host-country employees. The implications emphasize the importance of changing patterns of personal behavior and improving selection and training of such managers. © 1979, The Regents of the University of California.
